Review:
Having heard mixed opinions on Frankie and Benny’s new vegan options on Instagram, alongside never having visited one (even before we were vegan), we were slightly apprehensive to try them. That being said, I clearly ordered the perfect options as everything was delicious!
This is certainly a tough call but it has to be said: our favourite dish would hands down have to be the nuggets! They are perfectly crunchy on the outside, and very nugget-like on the inside. In all honesty, if I had not known that these were vegan beforehand I would have completely freaked out thinking I ate the real thing! The nuggets are accompanied with mayo, however, the best bit – the spicy Sriracha mayo (can ask to remove if you can’t handle spice)!
When choosing which burger to go for it was a non-brainier for us. Whist The Smoky Beet sounds interesting, we were craving more than a soya and beetroot patty. The Viva la Vegan stood out after the waitress told us it was ‘meat-like’ (something we tried to avoid in the past, however, have gradually come to terms with). Overall, the burger was delicious and filling. The patty was juicy especially when combined with the burger sauce. It’s taste almost resembled a Moving Mountain patty! The gherkin and red onions provided that nice crunchy texture which can never go wrong.
Despite being satisfied naturally one cannot leave without sampling the dessert menu, and thank gosh we did! Having ordered the Chocolate and Raspberry Lava Cake, we left content. The chocolate cake was extremely rich and moist, with the raspberry sauce adding a sweet, yet not at all overwhelming, aftertaste! The ice cream on top of the warm cake was the perfect way to end a lovely meal! These options are all a yes from us!

Pricing:
With the Viva la Vegan burger coming in at £9.99 we certainly think it was worth every penny! The Chickenless Nuggets are priced at £5.99 which is slightly pricey considering the fact that the bowl comes with 8 nuggets BUT they are filling and delicious so we may just be a tad greedy. The Chocolate and Raspberry Lave Cake comes in at £5.89 – perfectly priced! Our price rating ranges between £-££ due to the 50% PETA discount currently applicable – we cannot wait to go one more time before the end of this month (January).
