4/5 ££/£££

All these restaurants introducing vegan menus is Giraffing me crazy💃🏽💃🏽

Giraffe

Recently I headed on over to Giraffe to attend the GIRAFFE X RHITRITION event! We got to hear the wonderful Rhiannon Lambert share her nutrition tips and tricks whilst we tried Giraffe’s NEW VEGAN MENU! Let me share a quick trick I learnt before I move on to the food! Research shows that placing your mushrooms (stem side up) under the sun will allow them to soak in Vitamin D which you can then go on to consume!

Before I share my thoughts on the food can you guess what I chose from these three options: curry, salad or a burger? Let us see how well you know me…

Review:

Having not been to a Giraffe restaurant in a while I really wasn’t sure what to expect! However, I left pleasantly surprised and satisfied! The whole menu is well thought out and unique in its own right.

The Gyozas were my favourite starter – they were perfectly crunchy on the outside and perfectly filled on the inside with vegetables! The sweet chilli sauce accompanying was the icing on top! The Edamame were strangely addicting thanks to the seasoning.

To nobodies surprise I opted for the UP-BEET BURGER – I mean it quite literally has our name all over it. Sometimes all one needs is a simple, classic bean burger and Giraffe is the place to find it! The beetroot, quinoa and soya patty is deliciously soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside! The coconut yoghurt helps add that extra something to the burger and gives it a nice texture! Of course, the fries on the side are always greatly appreciated!

So I was on my way to complete a no-sugar week this week but seeing these chocolate and coconut tortes, how can one say no? This is my favourite dessert of the two – the tortes were deliciously moist and creamy. The raspberry coulis also added that little fruity kick, but it is not at all overwhelming! The Ice Cream Parlour is also a nice treat for those soon approaching summer’s days, with the three different flavours providing a little something for everyone!

Pricing:

With the appetisers ranging from £3 – 6, the mains for £9 – 12 and the desserts for under £6, everything is certainly normal London pricing! And considering how filling the food is, it is a yes from us!
